Berry sauce

Ingredients:

1/2 punnet strawberries

3/4 cup water

1-2 tbs white sugar (variable depending on your taste)

Method:

  1. Set stove to med-high temperature

  2. Boil water in a pan. When it is boiling, pour in the sugar and stir until melted.

  3. Add in the strawberries

  4. Leave it to boil, occasionally stirring so that it doesn't stick.

  5. Squish the strawberry gently to get out the juices and wait until the sauce reduces

  6. Drain the sauce through a sieve to get rid of the strawberry residuce and serve warm over crepes!

Note: You can also add fresh berries and sprinkle with icing sugar.

Alternatives:

Use fresh/canned mango slices instead of berries, can replace the berrys with mango pieces in sauce.

Can serve with whipped cream or ice cream

This recipe can be used for savoury crepes too if you get rid of the sugar in the mix
