Gnocchi with a garlic, basil Arrabbiata sauce



I haven't updated for a long time! Been busy with all this stuff, but tonight I had to post the gnocchi that I made!

This is my first attempt ever at making gnocchi, and I'm really happy with it! The recipe for the gnocchi is so much easier that I'd expect, you only need:

7 desiree potatoes (boiled until easy to prick through)
3 cups flour (this changes depending on how big your potatoes are)

Grate the boiled soft potatoes, mix in the flour until it's not too sticky (so that you can roll it out and make it into the pieces) and then just boil! They're cooked when it floats to the top.

For the sauce, I was lazy so I bought a store bought Arrbbiata sauce (little did I know that meant tomato + chilli sauce), added extra tomatoes, diced celery, carrots and onions.

And voila, it is ready ;)
